YMCA Digital Summer Sessions!
Taking place at NGYmyplace, our state-of-the-art studio in the heart of Nottingham, these sessions will teach young people a new set of exciting artistic skills ranging from street art to lyrics writing.
Here's everything you need to know:
Sessions take place from Monday 5th August to Friday 9th August and can be attended by young people aged 11-16.
Pricing is £150 for the whole week. This includes access to art materials and studio equipment including music recording equipment, DJ decs, recording booth, radio and podcasting equipment, instruments and microphones.
Sessions will take place at the YMCA digital studios at NGYmyplace, 29-31 Castle Gate, Nottingham NG1 7AR.
Each day will focus on a different skill, please see below for more details.
Monday: Graffiti/Street art - learn the basic artistic skills and the rules of creating great street art.
Tuesday: Photography - learn theory of artistic photography and test out your new skills around the city.
Wednesday: Creative writing - craft poerty, lyrics, and comics.
Thursday: Podcasting and radio show planning - prepare your themes and script for the big final show on Friday.
Friday: Live radio show - broadcasted live from the YMCA digital studio, the perfect end to a week of creative inspiration!
Our staff team are full trained in safeguarding and equality and diversity. Nottinghamshire YMCA staff are fully DBS checked.
